RHODES PIANO BUNCH ** NEW**  An intuitive, imaginative way to play the piano.
When:  Friday afternoons beginning October 4, 2013

Who: Ages 4 years trough Grade 1

In small age-specific classes, the Rhodes Piano Method is used to nurture excitement and understanding of music through rapid accomplishment and satisfaction.  Traditional teaching methods are combined with improvisation so students learn quickly and intuitively.   Just as a young child learns to talk “by ear” and is later introduced to the written language, a Rhodes piano student first learns “by ear” and is later introduce to note reading.  After 10 sessions, beginners are well on their way to reading music and playing with both hands.  A keyboard is provided for each child.  Rhodes Piano Method books and easy-to-use visual tools are included in class fee.  Classes are led by Zev Haber, a certified Rhodes Piano Method instructor.

THEATER SOUP **NEW**  A pinch of song, a dash of dance + a big dollop of drama.
When:  Thursday afternoons beginning October 3
Where: Groove, 108 Chatsworth Avenue, Larchmont, NY
Who: Boy and girls in grades 1-2

Groove’s newest class, Theater Soup, mixes music, dance, theater, improvisation and imagination into a recipe for fun. Frequent sharing gives friends and family a taste of what’s been stirring and insures that your child works towards goals they can be proud of.  Theater Soup was created by singer, songwriter, comedian and Groove music class leader Gaby Gold, who holds an MA in Educational Theater from NYU.
