Adults and children of all ages celebrate the art of collage on Sunday, September 22 at 12 noon to 5pm, of investigation and creation. Hear, see and learn about surprising sounds, images and ideas. Find out what makes collage such an intriguing medium.
1:30: Families: Watch as featured Learning Center artist Bryan Collier reveals the artistic process behind the collage portraits in his picture books.
12:30 and 2:15: All Ages: Enjoy music by Too Human, a funky, entertaining duo, as they perform musical collages and motivate visitors to join in.
3:00: Adults: Participate as visiting artist Josh Dorman demonstrates his unique collage style. Get inspired and make a collage to take home!
12 – 5: All ages: Create your own collage portrait that will hang in the Project Gallery during the KMA’s fall portrait exhibition.
Adults: members free, $10 non-members. Children ages 3 and up: $3 members, $5 non-members. Become a member at the door for free entry!
