Author Talk with Local Historian George Hancock

The Discovery Center at Ridgefield is proud to present an author talk with Ridgefielder, George Hancock.A Ridgefield author and frequent guide at the Keeler Tavern Museum, Mr. Hancock will discuss his latest book, Until Jacob Comes Marching Home at 7 PM on Thursday, April 24th in the Keeler Tavern Museum’s beautiful Cass Gilbert Garden House, located at 132 Main Street, Ridgefield.

He will discuss the research behind his book which includes a variety of information about Ridgefield and its residents during that stressful time. This is the third book in his series of Ridgefield history-based fiction, and was released in November of 2013. “This is the second half of the Civil War story,” he said.

All three of Mr. George Hancock’s books can be purchased at Bissell’s Pharmacy, the Keeler Tavern, Books on the Common, and Bella Home.

This talk, co-sponsored by the Discovery Center at Ridgefield and the Keeler Tavern Museum, will be followed by a book signing and light refreshments. Entrance and parking are free.
